You know that:

  • The Mark machine is actually the originator of the word tank.
  • At the beginning of their development, armoured armed vehicles were called Land ships, i.e. land ships, and hence, mainly for reasons of concealment from the enemy, soldiers and workers referred to them as tanks, i.e. tanks.
  • As the successor to the previous famous models, the Mark V could only be driven by one man thanks to modifications by the designer W. Wilson.
  • British tanks were divided into Male (male) armed with guns and Female (female) carrying only machine guns.
  • The Mark V was the first tank to have armoured tanks.
  • The engine of the machine was separated from the crew by a bulkhead, but even so, the temperature inside the tank reached up to 50°C.
  • The tank had a two-arm semaphore at the rear for one-way communication with other tanks in the formation.
  • A total of 400 units were produced in two versions.
