This building block set of the European multi-role Eurofighter® jet in the colors of the Luftwaffe's 74th Tactical Air Wing at a 1:48 scale features adjustable control surfaces and detachable landing gear legs. A specially designed pilot "half-figure" can be placed inside the opening cockpit. Attached under the wings are two external fuel tanks, two IRIS-T air-to-air missiles, and two Meteor long-range missiles. The assembled model can stand on its own landing gear or be securely placed onto the included display stand with a nameplate.

In 1983, representatives from Italy, Germany, France, the United Kingdom, and Spain met at a secret meeting to define the parameters for the future European fighter aircraft (FEFA). Two key requirements were established: short take-off and landing (STOL) capabilities and the ability to engage in beyond-visual-range (BVR) combat. France also insisted on carrier-capable operations, but failed to reach an agreement with its partners and withdrew from the project in 1985.
The first prototype, DA.1, took off from a Bavarian airfield on March 27, 1994. A total of 7 prototypes were manufactured for flight trials. The tests were successful, and the required parameters were achieved. During the test flights, one accident occurred when the crew had to eject following an engine failure. The aircraft was officially named the Eurofighter® Typhoon during a ceremony at the Farnborough Airshow on September 2, 1998. All participating countries agreed on the name, which symbolizes power. In NATO coding, these aircraft use the call sign EF-2000.
The delta-wing fighter features excellent lift and, thanks to its canard wings, extraordinary maneuverability. The airframe design consists of 82% ultra-modern composite materials, which reduced its weight by 15% compared to competing aircraft. Serial production is still ongoing and is divided among the partner nations according to the following scheme: left wing – Italy, right wing – Spain, front and rear fuselage sections – United Kingdom, center fuselage section – Germany.
An interesting piece of equipment is the Captor-M pulse-Doppler radar, which is capable of detecting targets at a distance of up to 185 km. Working together with the PIRATE system, it can track up to 200 targets simultaneously. As the Eurofighter is considered an exceptionally high-quality aircraft, many countries outside of Europe have shown interest in purchasing it. Current users of the Eurofighter include Italy, Kuwait, Germany, Oman, Austria, Saudi Arabia, the United Kingdom, and Spain, with Egypt, Indonesia, and Turkey soon to follow.
The approximate price of the aircraft is €90,000,000.
Around 650 units have been produced to date.

"During the Red Flag military exercise in Alaska in 2012, we faced the American F-22 Raptor, which was considered invincible, in a simulated dogfight. That day, we had Raptor salad for lunch. As soon as you drop the fuel tanks from the Eurofighter, it becomes an absolute monster and an aggressive beast. The American pilots took the loss very hard."
