The assembled model features tilting control surfaces and a removable cockpit canopy. Under the fuselage, two drop tanks and a pair of Attol missiles are mounted. The model can stand on its own landing gear, or you can safely store it in a stand with a description. The landing gear legs can be easily removed. A beautiful detail is the air intake cone and the long Pitot tube to the right in front of the cockpit, just like on the real aircraft.
The 2-in-1 kit contains two sets of printed bricks, and every builder can choose whether to complete the model in Czechoslovak colors or with East German air force insignia.

The Soviet Union had to urgently respond to the modern American F-104 Starfighter fighters and the upcoming French Mirage. They did it in their own way again. Through military espionage, they obtained a lot of information about the F-104's propulsion technology and the delta wing aerodynamics of the upcoming Mirage aircraft. Russia transferred the knowledge into several Ye-1 prototypes, including construction flaws that Lockheed had eliminated before starting F-104 production. The first flight took place on June 16, 1955, still under the designation Ye-4 at the time.
The Gorky plant began serial production in mid-1959. Early versions were not very successful. The aircraft lacked built-in radar, so deployment was only possible during the day in good weather. That copied construction flaw was the unbalanced fuel tanks. After consuming 2/3 of the fuel, the fighter's center of gravity shifted so much that the MiG became very difficult to maneuver, and at low altitudes, it literally became prey. The K-13 missiles were also poor, being copies of the American Sidewinders.
Everything changed with the arrival of the second generation. After many modifications, the outsider became a dangerous opponent. To this day, no other MiG has threatened Western fighters as much as the MiG-21 did. It received a new Tumansky radar, GSh-23L cannon, and suspended rocket pods.
MiG-21 aircraft were also produced under license in Czechoslovakia. Aero Vodochody produced a total of 194 units in versions F-13 / PF and PFM between 1962 and 1972.
A total of 11,496 units were produced in many versions.
"Upon arrival of the motorized SNB patrol at the crash site, the immediate surroundings were surrounded by local citizens who refused to leave the secured area. During a detailed inspection of the aircraft wreckage in the presence of military investigators, it was found that the magazines of live ammunition had been looted. The fact was handed over to SNB for further investigation."
