SOLAN (Sunny) 

She’s an optimistic and slightly cheeky magpie who, together with Ludvig, forms an inseparable duo. They could hardly be more different, yet they prove that opposites can complement each other perfectly. The friends experience incredible adventures full of humor, courage, and friendship in the fairy‐tale village of Flåklypa.

LUDVIG (Little Ludvig) 

Ludvig is a cautious and caring hedgehog who prefers to hang back. That is, until he has Solan as his best friend. Ludvig’s skills helped build the race car Tempo Gigante, and even the LaPollo Null rocket for the trip to the Moon.

About the film Flåklypa Grand Prix

On a small hill 37 miles to the north, slightly east and up, lies the tiny mountain village of Flåklypa. Self‐sufficient, under a sky dome with a steam cheese factory, a campsite, its own newspaper, and a television station. Exposed to the wind and weather, right where the sun rises above the Great Gorge, lives bicycle repairman Reodor Røefk. Røefk cares more about his inventions than his customers. Living with him are Sunny Gundersen and Ludvig.
One evening the three of them watched the sports news on TV together. Reodor’s former apprentice, Rudolf Blodheart, had become a star in car racing with his vehicle Boomerang Rapido. One thing about his success stinks: a certain component of Blodheart’s car is far too similar to an invention by his former master. Sunny urges Reodor to accept Blodheart’s challenge: he’s had the design for his genius car, Il Tempo Gigante, sitting in a drawer for a long time!
But reality is too harsh. The poor Norwegian bike repairman lacks the funds to build this marvel of automotive engineering. Fortunately, at that time the oil sheikh Ben Redic Fy Fazan, owner of Aladdin Oil, visits Flat Mountain. Sunny immediately decides to secure funding for Reodor from the sheikh. He succeeds, and within exactly one year, the race car Il Tempo Gigante is ready. And the race of the century can begin!
