Donnie's aircraft service station building set features the cheerful airplane Donnie, who builds and repairs all kinds of machines. The entire set is designed in an eye-catching yellow and blue colour scheme that will appeal to young builders. The blue-and-white rotors on the station are movable, as are the wings and the white propellers on the airplane. The model is based on the popular children's animated series Super Wings, where Donnie can build and fix almost anything using his toolbox. He is highly intelligent, but also a little clumsy and often provides comic relief.

Donnie is not entirely fictional – his appearance was loosely inspired by the real Canadair CL-415 amphibious firefighting aircraft, although in the cartoon he is heavily stylised and can even transform into a robot.
