German wheeled armoured halftrack Sd.Kfz. 251/9 COBI 2283 - World War II 1:35

You know that:

• The vehicle was created in 1937 based on a request from General Guderian, who wanted an armoured personnel carrier to transport 10 soldiers to the battlefield.
• The manufacturer of the vehicle was the German company HANOMAG, but many parts were made in Škoda Plzeň.
• Several pieces were assembled by Tatra.
• After the end of the war, the Czechoslovak Army acquired many vehicles for its armament.
• The cheap and reliable vehicle had several technical peculiarities. The front steerable wheels did not have brakes, and the driver was assisted in turning by a system that automatically braked the belt on the inside of the curve when the steering wheel was turned more than 15°.
• The fuel tank was located under the floor to allow refuelling from jerry cans while driving.
• The driver and commander were the only ones protected by a small hardtop.
• The 251/9 version was fitted with a KwK 37 L/24 short gun intended as infantry fire support. In later versions the gun was placed higher above the driver's visor. The soldiers named the vehicle "Stummel", meaning stump or cigarette butt, after the short gun.
• In total, about 15,252 were produced in various versions.
• The iconic vehicle has also left its mark on modern culture. Perhaps no war film or PC game can do without a transporter.
