This building kit of an eight-wheeled armored vehicle with coupled front axles allows for smooth wheel steering and, thanks to the folding rear ramp, offers a view into the interior with a crew bench. The outer hull features canisters, a shovel, and a mounting lever, while under the hinged cover with an intake grille next to the spare tire lies a faithfully detailed Caterpillar engine. Armament consists of an automatic grenade launcher paired with an M240 machine gun mounted on the weapon station in front of the gunner's hatch. This versatile 2-in-1 set also allows you to choose the final look of the model with either United States or Ukrainian insignias, and includes a printed nameplate block.

General Dynamics Land Systems developed the vehicle to replace the aging LAV III armored personnel carriers. The first production units entered service with the United States Army in 2002, and production continues today. The vehicle is designed to be deployed anywhere in the world within 96 hours of receiving an order using C-130 heavy cargo transport aircraft. The machine's weight, dimensions, and external shape are all tailored to this requirement. The transporter was named after World War II hero Stuart S. Stryker, who contributed to rescuing American airmen during the attack near Wesel, Germany.

The Stryker is equipped with several innovative technologies such as high-precision remote fire control, blast-resistant seating, magnetorheological suspension, non-flammable tires, and ATI 500-MIL armor plating. Its extraordinary reliability is equally impressive. During operations in Afghanistan, deployed vehicles maintained an operational readiness rate of over 96% at all times.

It is not just a vehicle, but part of a fully integrated network. On the battlefield, transporters communicate with each other, coordinate fire control, and synchronize with air support. Future generations will even feature a 360° camera feed accessible not only by the crew, but by command posts anywhere in the world. A thermal imaging camera with a range of 2,700 m provides support for infantry units. Since 2005, slat ceramic armor resistant to RPG projectiles has also been available.

To date, more than 4,900 units have been produced across 9 variants. The estimated unit cost of the vehicle is €4,210,000.
