• The Boeing F-15 from the E series is the successor to the McDonnell Douglas Strike Eagle, designed to carry out independent penetrations against ground and air targets without the need for escort aircraft.
• These aircraft specialize in operations deep within enemy territory to destroy high-value targets.
• The prototype's first flight took place on February 20, 2013.
• After completing flight tests, serial production began and continues to this day.
• The EX version is equipped with a modern AESA radar, LANTIRN launch pods, and the LEAR terrain-following system. Interestingly, it is this last system that makes the F-15 a hard-to-detect aircraft for enemy air defenses.
• At first glance, it may seem like a slightly modified standard F-15, but don't be fooled. The aircraft's fuselage is 60% redesigned, including the landing gear.

USAF Flight Test Report 2024:

“Evaluation of the flight test segments confirms the operational effectiveness of the F-15EX aircraft even against 5th-generation fighters. The F-15EX is capable of detecting and tracking all threats from a favorable distance using onboard and offboard systems while maintaining a high level of survivability.”
