Did you know:
- The history of the most famous automobile competition began at the dawn of motoring in 1906, when the French Automobile Club organized the first Grand Prix. The only technical restriction at that time was a maximum permitted vehicle weight of 1000 kg.
- Unfortunately, the promising development of motorsport was soon interrupted by the First and then the Second World War.
- The first renewed Grand Prix was held only in 1947 in Czechoslovakia, and a year later it was renamed to the competition we now know as F1.
- The French racing team BWT Alpine (formerly Renault) has been preparing F1 single-seaters since 2021.
- The team develops a new single-seater for each season, designated A521–A525. The last two digits indicate the year of the racing season.
- The A524 car is equipped with a modified Renault E-Tech RE24 1.6 V6 engine, with which Team Alpine contested 24 Grand Prix races and scored 65 points.
- The Renault engine boasts impressive specifications. The power unit, weighing 150 kg, delivers over 708 kW at 15 000 revolutions per second. The exact figure is kept confidential by the manufacturer.
- The price for such high performance is a short lifespan of approximately 2 500 km, equivalent to 8 races. Over the course of a season, the racing team consumes 3 engines.
- For the 2025 season, Team Alpine has signed two race drivers—Jack Doohan and Pierre Gasly—and two test drivers—Franco Colapinto and Paul Aron.

Team Principal of Alpine, Bruno Famin:
“We have huge challenges ahead. In F1, it’s always two steps forward and one step back. After years on the brink, we are returning to the spotlight. Williams, AlphaTauri, Haas, or Alfa Romeo can only kiss our exhaust.”
