VOLKSWAGEN T3 POLICE MODEL | COBI 24637 
Model kit of the Volkswagen T3 vehicle in a 1980s police version. The model features a combination of white and deep green colors typical of the German police. It includes a white “Polizei” inscription on a green background, windshield wipers, a blue beacon light, and two lights on the sides of the roof. Inside you will find two front seats and a steering wheel. The set is produced under official Volkswagen Group licensing.

The Volkswagen T3 was produced between 1979 and 1990 in Germany. Because it was a popular vehicle known for its easy maintenance, it was most commonly used as a delivery van, camper, and also as a vehicle for rescue and security services.
Police T3 variants differed depending on their purpose, but the most common equipment included warning beacons, radio equipment, reinforced electrical systems, and storage space for equipment (records, weapons, etc.). The T3 Syncro version was also used, featuring 4x4 drive ideal for difficult terrain. The T3 was used by highway police, city police, riot units, and traffic police.
The Volkswagen T3 Polizei also appeared in the cult German TV series “Alarm für Cobra 11”. It was mainly seen in early action chase scenes or as a patrol vehicle stopping drivers at highway rest areas. It also appeared in the well-known series “Big Ben”, where it drove through the Bavarian hills, often using real police vehicles rather than props.
The Volkswagen T3 in police configuration was also used in neighboring countries – Austria, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Belgium, etc.
