Building set of the model of the legendary Subaru Impreza WRC 2004 rally car on the finish straight with driver and co-driver. The vehicle is in classic blue with yellow prints and gold wheels. It features a large rear wing and a strong air intake on the hood. Through transparent windows you can see the steering wheel and two front seats. Next to the car stand two figures representing the winning crew holding a trophy and a bouquet. The scene is completed by a finish gate with flags of Japan and Norway, tool boxes, and red-and-white barriers. The set is officially licensed by Subaru Corporation.

The Subaru Impreza WRC 2004 is a factory rally car of the Subaru World Rally Team, developed by British company Prodrive in cooperation with Subaru Tecnica International (STI) for the 2004 WRC season. This car was built exclusively as a rally prototype and has nothing in common with production cars except the body shell.

The car was equipped with a 2.0 turbo boxer engine and a 6-speed sequential gearbox. Permanent all-wheel drive (AWD) and ventilated Brembo disc brakes had to withstand extreme temperatures of 600–800 °C. This allowed the car to perform in all conditions (snow, mud, gravel, forest roads...).

Rally Japan 2004 was the 11th round of the WRC Championship with 27 special stages. Subaru driver Petter Solberg with co-driver Phil Mills built a strong early lead and controlled the rally until the finish, where they celebrated a dominant win with more than a one-minute gap over Sébastien Loeb in the Citroën Xsara.
